field_crop_webSorry about the graphics obstructing type right here, but I’m still figuring this wordpress theme out.

Anyway, welcome to my blog, a web diary of a 20-something Korean American political organizer of the more ‘delicate’ sex.  Several people have been urging me to write about my experiences in political movements and my insights into current events.  I figure I’ll indulge them and myself – Heck, I may even discover that I have something interesting to say!

I’m not sure exactly what to cover in this blog yet, and I’m sure its contents will morph and evolve over time.  People tend to look at me as a source of information on the human rights and political situation in Burma, as that’s the field I’ve worked in for almost a decade now.  But my most recent gig being related to the US presidential election suggests a trend away from an asperger’s-like focus on Burma, Burma, Burma and a broadening of interests and thus insights.  So maybe this blog will be an interesting read for non-Burma geeks after all.

What I’m planning on now (and again, this is all liable to change) is looking at trends in nonprofit organizations and the technologies that aid our work  (as a good friend puts it, “the technology of democracy and the democracy of technology“), discoveries and ideas in good old-fashioned organizing, and human rights-related policy developments.  Inevitably, Burma will figure  in.  Random, huh?
